Workshop on Sustainable Electric Utilization in Power Distribution through Improved Efficiency & Environmental friendly Distribution Transformers, The Integrated Policy
With financial support from the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), the China Standard Certification Company (CSC), in partnership with the International Copper Association (ICA), is implementing a project entitled “Reducing Losses in Power Distribution through improved Energy Efficiency of Distribution Transformers”. The long-term objective of this project is to improve efficiency of distribution transformers (DTs) with adoption of the upcoming IEC 60076-20 standard and ensuring replicability of good practices on promoting energy efficiency standard, which will drive technology changes and increase of DT's energy performance in APEC economies in the long term.
The second workshop on Sustainable Electric Utilization in Power Distribution through Improved Efficiency & Environmental friendly Distribution Transformers, The Integrated Policy and round table dialogue has been scheduled on December 18th -19th, at Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel and Towers, Bangkok, Thailand following the first regional stakeholders’ consultation workshop held in Jeju, Korea, in March 2017. The objective of this workshop is to provide a regional forum to share experiences and lessons learnt from leading practitioners and best-practice through energy efficiency policies and regulations aiming for improved efficiency of distribution transformers in the residential, commercial and industrial sectors; formulate integrated policy strategies for future acceleration of energy efficiency (IEC 60076-20) & Environmentally Sound Management practices in the APEC economies.
